i’ll stop working on it now. i think it could work like this. it has a good suspension, it’s comfortable, it’s as light as i can do and it looks great.
now i’ll sew the tractor-kite and hope for wind.
by the way… i need a new computer-chair!

still have to rivet the whole thing but that’s how i mean it should look like. now i need a new office-chair.

i wouldn’t be me if i… ta-da… new project!!!
the start is done: a 2nd (looks like 20th…) hand twins-buggy.
the plan:
- a sit (i have a red one that could fit)
- stearing (don’t ask me yet - no idea)
- foot-breaks (not sure if i really need them but “safety first”)
- lots of oil to forget that that thing weights a tonn
- a mast and a sail (optional - for the days i don’t feel like kiting)
- hi-fi, light, mirror, live-cam, gps, swiss-pocket-knive, ashtray, bottle-opener…

parafoil
after almost a week of studying, planing, designing and sewing… today the test. unfortunately there was not enough wind to fly it, but anyway emough to trim and to be sure that it flyes! now i’m proud to present you the youngest of my kites: a 2,30 x 0,70m parafoil.
the most interesting side of the kite is that i made it of old material. there was a broken beach-tent, some flags, a piece of net and simple strings. all in all it costed me as much as a pizza with a coke.

usually i do it during the winter, when the weather doesn’t want to have me outside. anyway… watch my galery 
many recycling of old clothes, pimping an old stool, a labour-waistcoat, and soon other not ready to show yet.
project lake
here is for those who miss the other parts of my site. it’s not that i don’t do anything but i’m usually too lazy to make fotos or i forget to blog about it. here is now what i’m doing in the last weeks: the lake.
as usual, it has to do with a bit of recycling. a bit of old wire, a piece of an old can, matches, rests of wood, old paper and a lot of new ideas.
i tryed to pimp the solar lamps technic with a my own ideas. here is something that everybody can do at home. inside the little house is the whole technic, optical-friendly hidden. the base is an usual led-solar-lamp. the whole plastic i don’t need is in the recycling basket.
here is the cascade, already on the lake-plate. i put leds in the hollows to light under water. these will be connected to the little house that also lights with an own led. the next step will be the solar water-pump that wakes up the cascade to life. enjoy!

sir eddys neue gemächer
wenn sich der hauskater, schnorrend, neben frauchen auf der gute ledergarnitur breit macht, ist man zuhause.
eddy, oder besser “sir” eddy hat seine decke, eigenhändig von frauchen in nestform zerknüllt und vom fernseher aus links.
nun gehört dieser nicht standesgemäßer zustand endlich der vergangenheit.
hier die materialliste:
- ein ausgedienter strand-windschutz
- schaumstoff aus ein ausgedienter bügelbrettbezug (für den boden)
- reste aus festerem schaumstoff (die vom polstern von stühle übrig blieben - für den rand)
wie sich sir eddy in sein modischen neuen thron macht, belege ich demnächst hier in bild.
noch einmal ist aus wertlosem kram was tolles entstanden. selbermachen ist nicht out sondern klug. wer es nicht selbermachen kann, der kennt mit sicherheit jemand der grad das kann. aber wer weißt schon heutzutage was andere können? wer gibt sich die bloße, jemand zu fragen wenns um sachen geht die man kaufen kann?
schlaf schön, liebe welt, und vergiß nicht die uhr umzustellen.

sun-light at home
everybody knows that you can use sunlight to get energy. many of us use it. but very few use it for something significant. this sun-lamps you can buy everywhere are on every balkony, on every garden. they work and they are nice but they are not more than a toy for decoration. as well in the range of the use, people put them usually there where they don’t really need any light.
i have some of them too. i was the first one on my whole block to use them for the balkony. now you see them all over. my idea, a good idea.
i have enough light on my balkony so that i don’t even need a candle any more to spend a evening with friends outside. with less lamps than enough, it would only be less light than enough. at this point i am still the only one, unfortunately. people are not used to think further than decoration, yet.
the new creation takes me even futher than that. my bathroom is inside. no window, so it’s even during the day totally dark inside. now i took some of these lamps again and a few meters of wire, left the panels on the balkony, and got the light there where i really need some.
i have a circuit with sun-loaded-batterys to get light during the night and a second one that works direct, for the light during the day. it’s not the same than the electrical light (that i need to shave or take a shower), but it’s enough to wash the hands or brush the teeth.
this kind of things are more than saving energy (or money) and living in balance with the blue planet. the motivation is also to save lifetime that we whaste dayly switching any buttons. i am too lazy for that.

i love linux
nach wie vor bin ich ein fan vom pinguin. seit mir vor vielen jahren marian und bubi den ubuntu vorbeigebracht haben (danke, jungs!), höre ich nicht mehr auf, mich daran zu erfreuen.
inzwischen weiß ich auch nicht mehr wieviele eigene und fremde rechner ich damit bestückt hab. und sie laufen bis heut alle problemlos.
die neue erfahrung damit hab ich mir in den letzten 2 tage selber geschenkt. klingt irre aber ist wahr.
mein nachbar, ein ganz liebes kerlchen, hatte da eine nicht-funktionierend-wollende pc-ähnliche kiste zu stehen. nachdem ich das ding näher in augenschein genommen hab, der schreck: 500MB festplatte, 64MB RAM, 300MHz und ein virus im boot. was macht man da? wegschmeißen und vergessen? NEIN!
die lösung heißt: LINUX! eine kleinere version als mein geilen ubuntu, auch als live zu verwenden, namens Damn Small Linux (DSL). installiert braucht dieses betriebssystem nicht mehr als 132MB und läuft auf der kiste wie ein uhrwerk. gängige anwendungen sind alle vorhanden, obwohl schlanker gehalten. einziger haken: die oberfläche ist nur in englisch, oder ich bin zu blöd um sie zu ändern. dennoch… so what?

in diesem sinne, hab ich mich heut damit befasst, natürlich auf meine ganz eigene weise.
ich gebe zu, sogar ein wenig darüber stolz zu sein, mal ganz illegan meine segel im binnengewässer gesetzt zu haben. nicht jeder hat soviel arsch in die hose
hier mein einmaster, wo ich furchtlos bei erschreckenden seegang kapitän war. die reling hab ich beabsichtigt weg gelassen. das einzige wozu sie dient, hatte ich eh nicht vor.
dann hab ich mich beim video-schneiden genauso erfolgssicher gezeigt. es ist alles so einfach für leute die es drauf haben…
hab mich dafür entschieden es nicht akustisch zu belasten. meine vorstellung von “dum-didum-didum-di-dum” in terzen und mit tercinen aufgepept, die hätte eh nicht jeder verstanden. leider fiel mir nix mainstream-genügsameres ein, ich bin aber für vorschläge empfänglich. vielleicht vertone ich das meisterwerk noch nachträglich.
in diesem sinne, schiff ahoi und immer eine flassche rum eine handbreite unterm steuer (oder soähnlich)!
