i’m not a big friend of these social networks ’cause of the way they handle with privacy. but like someone else that doesn’t need to hide, i’m there. i use it to not to fill my homepage with lots of fotos i take. have a look and leave a like ;)

quite strange to learn a bit of history after going out for drawing…

cold outside, near the water… the sun doesn’t heat me… i walk the planks down, open the heavy iron door… it’s warm inside.

i sit, order a coffee… clean my glasses and take my drawing material. a A6 note-book and a 6b graphite pencil.

my ears get a soft sound. fado. lisbon-fado. it’s that long ago that i don’t even recognize who sings. but i understand the lyrics. i start to draw.

i was on the john barnett. an excellent place to eat - the chef is the owner, and he knows how to do it. a wounderfull place to sit and have peace. a ship in the middle of potsdam.

i took the cheese-cake. the ones who know me are not surprised. then i took the gänsebrust mit rotkohl und klöße. and i did nothing wrong.  great food, little price and sometimes even live-music.

you’ll find me in this historical place the next times for sure!

line dance

i was in a typical german american bar. i mean, it looks the way the german think it should look like if it was at the other side of the lake. boots and cowboy-hats on the walls, wood hiding every wall, and ONLY very loud country-music.

it worked. i went inside and i felt like just landed in a foreign planet. a planet where people don’t have so good ears. but i was the intruder, so it’s ok. they feel good like this.

steffi and the (most of the) big-beat-boys were playing, that’s why i was there. thank god, ’cause a whole long evening only with extreme loud country… i would need new ears after that.

anyway… i tryed to survive the gig-breaks learning something i’m not sure i’ll ever need: line dance. i hope not…

i’m not sure about the right order ’cause it was not easy to pay attention under the circumstances. even if it’s not right, i like the graphics. will someone try it and tell me if it works? :D

a seagull flew

sometimes it’s funny to remember the first songs i learned. most of them are also the first i learned to play on my guitar. three major chords…

the seagull, the seagull song and the guitar are still a part of me, even if in a different way than some decades ago. amazing!!!

i could write a book about this wounderfull weekend. salted water, good music, great people around, inputs… sun, waves and rain… old and fast forgotten thaugts… and all this around a mind picture i almost tatoowed on my skin for many years: a compass needle.

carving in soap

i just (re)found this wounderfull material. it’s cheap, ecological and easy to carv. no dust, no tired hands, and even soft skin at the end.

no need special tools. a small kitchen knife is enough. don’t even need to be sharp. and some tissue to polish. the rest is the wide wing of your imagination!

i usually take a cake of curd soap. it’s easyer to work with because it’s not so hard and it doesn’t smell so much.

the hardest part is… after carving something nice, to look at it as a cake of soap and to use it.

kite-buggy III

i’ll stop working on it now. i think it could work like this. it has a good suspension, it’s comfortable, it’s as light as i can do and it looks great.

kite festival

i was there!

the vokspark is not the best place to fly kites (too much trees) but it can work.

lots of different kites, almost only single-liner, very interesting and colourfull giants, lots of people, and… almost no wind.

i wanted to try my new ones, to talk to kite-builders, to fly and have fun. it didn’t work. too much people, too little place, and the kite-makers too busy with selling or presenting theyr kites. so i tryed only my ultra-lights.

for an entry of 5€ it is for me too expensive. if you compare to other festivals and kite-competitions with free entry… but as an aktive (registered) kiter, you go there for free. thanks flying-colors!

my idea: get some trim-coaches there. to make toy-kites with the kids (or to sell rtf-kites) is not enough if they don’t fly. to kite is more than to hold a line but people don’t know that!
