kalli, a beer & me
the friendly beary musher with the contagious smile had birthday. i was also there to congratulate, drink a beer and hear a lot about sledogs. between lots of people, next to lots of dogs, i was very pleased to meet the legend himself and get amused by listenning to his race-reports.
habermann gave for 20 years his cigaretts up, and bought himself a couple of dogs. he didn’t smoke again ’till today. the dogs an the races flow now in his veins.
next big race is the pirena. the training is part of the day, every day, as well as the taking care of the animals.
now i could start to run too. now i know enough about the dogs and the runs and the equipment and the technik (and what can go wrong). if it wasn’t that cold in winter, i would surely be the next one.
